ROAD, RAIL, METRO, FOOT - TO GET ON THE WATER

Yesterday, 10th October, I left London for Liverpool and the start of the Paddle Across The Pennines trip. It's actually quite surreal to have a boat in ones luggage. Using the trolley wheels I walked up to the tube station with the packed down kayak, all my other kit in a single waterproof bag. Onto a train and into Liverpool a few hours later. So portable is the whole package that I went off to Wales for the night - a metro trip, back of a small car, a bit of walking.
Now I'm on my way back into Liverpool, still using public transport.
In an hour or two I'll be on the water in a kayak that I've been catering as luggage.
